Why We’re Switching to Amber Glass Jars

At Farmstead Naturals, we’ve always believed in creating products that are as kind to the planet as they are to your skin. That’s why we’re making a big change in the way we package our Pure Mineral Zinc Sunscreen.

We are phasing out plastic pump bottles and transitioning to amber glass jars. Don’t worry — we still have a limited number of pumps available while stocks last, but jars will soon be the new home for our sunscreen.

🌍 Why We’re Moving Away from Pumps

Pump bottles can be tricky for rich, balm-style sunscreens like ours. They often leave 10–15% of product stuck inside, which means more waste and less value for you. On top of that, most pumps are made with mixed plastics that are hard to recycle.

We knew there had to be a better way.

Amber glass jars give you:

✨ The Transition

Right now, you’ll still see some of our Pure Mineral Sunscreen in pump bottles — but once they’re gone, they’re gone. From then on, it’s amber glass jars only.

If you prefer the pump, grab one while you can. If you’re ready to embrace a more sustainable choice, go straight for the glass jar.
